An extra lightbulb worth of power consumed. Careful now, or we'll all be getting phone calls from the electricity company tongue.gif

Power efficiency of consumer electronics concerns much more than what your jab is implying.

yes it's not that big a deal, but on the other hand it's really cool having a high-end CPU and GPU that's twice as fast as the mid-range one while consuming the same or lower amount of power.

Power consumption by itself is not an issue. The issue is that all that electricity is almost perfectly converted to heat, which means either larger heatsinks, or faster fans, or more fans in bigger cases, or any combination of the previous.
Heat is an issue. Noise is an issue.

Obviously you can't say the "Yes" word. Your paycheck would be blocked. Meanwhile, people still suffering from the exact issue. Source

Whats more is that, some are now claiming that they'd live with it and enjoy the their $700+ investment with the issue.

Would rather be forced to pay for a sound card than playing on a 7950.

Also, the same happened for my R9 290 CF.

it still gonna be similar-ish to the GCN that is in Polaris, as well as (possibly) use the same 14nm GloFo process

obviously there will be some differences and HBM2, but a lot of stuff from their Polaris R&D will be in Vega too

Lol, your card could be a friggin slide show and you'd never admit that here! You'd chop off your own hands before you allowed them to dare type a complaint about an Nvidia product... tongue.gif
