[Guru3D]Sapphire Radeon RX 480 Nitro - Page 81

He looked so funny in that latency topic, trying to convince everyone the issue did not exist even after NVIDIA admitted it does.

no stutter, no waiting for 2017 for a high-end card, better OC than Polaris

Well in all my years of using ATi/AMD GPUs, I've never had a single issue with drivers, so I guess they must have really good drivers. biggrin.gif

Same. Only problem I encountered was bad CF scaling in certain games.

But the hype is on, price is good for 4 GB model, and there are no other custom cards available for now, and good ones like MSI will surely charge a lot, so it is possible that 480 Nitro is selling well.

I have the 8GB nitro pre ordered on amazon. I am considering cancelling though after reading kitgurus review and seen that pathetic heatsink under the hood. Seriously like only like half as wide as the card. I feel like the ascetic of the card affected the thermal design too much. Looks like they had to shave off fins to fit the LED boards on the side.

75c at 2300rpms isnt acceptable to me. And I wouldnt want to put it under a AIO because of the weird cuts in the PCB.

This post is for Chevy Chase and Klocek - who were yesterday trying to claim Polaris was some kind of efficiency disaster compared to Pascal. Uh huh. Where you at where you at.

Just read the ComputerBase review of the 480 Devil. A lot quieter than the Nitro and more interestingly, in 'Quiet mode', it consumes the same power as the GTX 1060 while offering 93% of the power.

https://translate.google.co.uk/translate?hl=en&sl=de&u=https://www.computerbase.de/&prev=search

AMD are shocking at setting voltages for their reference cards. This means that, in terms of efficiency, the Pascal 1060 GPU in this case is only 8.6% more efficient than the Polaris.

Where are those people that were claiming that the Pascal GPU is a gen ahead of Polaris? The two GPUs are likely even closer in terms of efficiency down at the 460-470 vs 1050 level.

Where can I sign up for this RX 480 circle jerk?
