New Razer Abyssus v2 - Page 13

Are you like measuring it on your monitor? What you want is the number of pixels versus the number of inches you moved the mouse

You could also do it inside of mousetester but it's less intuitive

Try to keep the mouse straight while drawing the line. Then measure the left-right length of the line.
do this instead:

get a ruler (or use the 8.5in edge of a piece of letter-sized paper)
use mousetester,
align the mouse cord with the ruler/edge of paper.
click collect in mousetester
move 10inches or 8.5, or whatever. try to keep the mouse as straight as possible
in mousetester, you'll see something like

Events: 126
Sum X: 11506 counts 36.5 cm
Sum Y: 728 counts 2.3 cm
Path: 11711 counts 37.2 cm

read out the counts in "Sum X". divide by the inches you moved.

and 10x more accurate. if you're off by 0.1in when moving 1in, that's a 10% error

Uh, so I somehow got the 1000hz to stay after I uninstalled synapse, so the dpi steps might save to the mouse. I didn't do a single thing differently, but synapse is gone, and the refresh rate is still there. When I changed the steps, I hit the big green save button, but they were gone when I uninstalled synapse. I have no idea why the refresh rate decided to stick around this time.

Just tried again. The dpi steps returned to default after reboot. The refresh rate stayed at 1000hz.

Have you tried changing the dpi/hz and then unplugging the mouse, uninstalling synapse with another mouse, turning off the PC then turning it back on with the mouse connected and seeing if the steps saved

Only reason I'm suggesting that is because I did it with an old da which wasn't supposed to save like that but it did. Doubt it would work but you can try it
