@wareya do you happen to have some numbers / graphs? just curious

How bad is the smoothing on s3988? I've used it for so long that I can't even feel it anymore.

Tracking latency is just over 1ms or 2ms behind the kpm in tracking tests, and the same kpm is 1.8ms or 0.8ms behind my WMO

I don't remember exactly how large the smoothing window looked, and I can't overclock mice above 1000hz so I can't get good enough data to give you a hard answer.

Well the Roccat's are all ALPS scrollers, best quality ones that will outlive any Razer Scroll Wheels.

Just curious to know, how long will the current Abby 2 scroll wheel last, before it needs replacing.......

depends on cpi (and movement speed):

thanks!
it probably wouldn't do 2khz without dropping a ton of reports, so would you really get that much wiser?
Probably maybe who knows? If it could hit 8khz we could see individual sensor packets. I just literally don't have win8/newer so I can't do hard overclocking.

someone send me one and i'll figure everything out lol. no guarantees that i'd be able to return it fully functional though

well i'll probably buy it myself later... too busy with other stuff right now

btw here's a picture of the MCU (at least I'm assuming it is. It's the only other large chip on here I can find.)

and a second picture of the sensor for good measure http://i.imgur.com/PXG8jXL.png

Indeed it is, same ARM M0 from NXP as the Abyssus 2k14, this one has slightly more Flash memory though, 24kb instead of 16.

Edit: It also at least somewhat makes up for the price given what some competitors are using.

this company refuses to ever put the top tier sensor in every single abyssus they make, only viable thing to buy from them is mousepads lol. i hate razer

I actually commented on this when talking to m0uz the other day, how do they manage to mess up EVERYTHING but their mousepads? Do they out source them or something? rolleyes.gif
