Hello everyone and thanks for joining and checking out my case mod. This project is already completed, sorry was on a time crunch but I will walk you through the process now of how I accomplished it.

The whole idea behind this mod which was something new for me, was to create something that looked like it had been sitting in the world of fallout for 20 years deteriorating. So at one point this mod would have been perfect, then has weathered over time. This was difficult for me, as there were details that I had to intentionally make to look as if they were not perfect.

So I started out with Cooler Master Case Pro 5, the interior needed some modding for what I wanted to achieve, so let's first start with those pictures.

So here we have a relatively stock Master Case.

Then a gutted master case

I needed to remove the PSU shroud and motherboard tray, the psu shroud was going in the scrap to be replaced, the motherboard tray would be cut to allow for the motherboard skirt I was going to add.

So here we have the case back together after sanding and washing, you can see the motherboard tray attached after being modified, and it is ready for paint prep.

All of the parts in the above picture have been sanded and washed.
Next post I will get into some of the other mods that I completed.

Next I had to create new front and top panels for the mod. I lost some photos of this process as I had a phone die on me, and usually in the shop I use my phone while working to not damage my camera, so I will get the best steps of the process I have.

After cutting out the fron bezel of the case, it needed to be replaced, so I created one. I used 1/4" clear acrylic, topped with 3/16" blue fluorescent acrylic. This was to achieve the proper depth I wanted. Both pieces were cut on my table saw using my carbide 140 tooth blade. and filed to match perfectly.

Once I liked how they matched up, I used weldon #4 to seal both pieces together. Then came the fun part.

Yes I used my who knows how old dewalt hand drill, and a 4.5" hole saw bit. Once I had the space measured to make the holes line up with all three fans once mounted to the radiator, I drilled all the holes.

When modding, you cannot always account for everything, and here you can see after this process, the fan grilles mounted to the back of the panel I just created would look ugly unless something was done. So as always I think on the fly and come up with a solution.

But I lost my photos of the next process which basically included painting this panel and the top panel from the backside so stay tuned as I reveal the final shots later on.
