Old School LGA 775 EK Supreme

Thread Starter
I have been using LGA 775 for about 10+ years now (single-core to quad-core) and looking to make the jump to the newer generation of sockets. I have had this EK supreme since 2007ish, but I don't think it is compatible with LGA 1151/1150/2011. Can I buy a new adapter to modernize my cpu block? Thanks for any help!

775 uses the same pattern as 1155 1150 1151 as far as I know. 1366 and 2011 are the same but larger than the small chips. I designed and 3d printed an adapter to use a 775 waterblock on a 2011 i7. It worked perfectly fine until I found a 1366 block to use.

So yeah you should have no problem putting it on a new board unless it's 2011 which I don't know if that has holes for that pattern

Sweet +Rep

The LGA2011 was a long shot, and it looks like I'm going with a salvaged I5 4590 out of a broken Dell workstation.

This isn't true, 775 mounting is narrower than 1155 and 2011.

That mounting plate looks like it would need a few more holes drilled in it for it to work if it has the space outside the 775 socket holes.

A lot of brackets support both so it's an easy mistake to make but yours doesn't look like it does.

Hmm, I suppose all the times I've interchanged them the screws were long enough to take up the difference.

I'm almost positive that 1366 and 2011 are the same, is that true?
