Thats not to say it cant game, the GPU will just be idle or under utilized much of the time. Could always look at the used Xeon/X58 market, there are some epic deals to be had. Performance per core is better than most AMD products by a good whack and you can get 6 core/12 thread CPUs that clock to ~4ghz.

Would be a good cheap way to hold over until Zen arrives (assuming 1Q launch). 6c/12t W3680 CPU is ~$109 and the Intel DX58SO board is ~$109, both on ebay in US.

The Seiki was 300 bucks with 42 inches of real estate so I thought it was the most cost effective solution for now.

I am def getting a new motherboard since I have a friend who plays overwatch and would be happy with the Pentium/low end gigabyte/gtx 950.

It would be funny if it still did that with the new motherboard. if thats the case it has to be the TV and would be good to add to the knowledge base for people using a 480/470.
A Korean shipping company just caved in, so beware buying something from Korea.

And from ASUS in regard to poor availability and the big difference between markets:

I believe normally when the stock is insufficient they normally try to supply all the bigger markets first and unfortunately some other countries will have delayed shipments.
So you either live in the biggest 1st world countries or struggle to buy any new GPU at any price at all. Way to go really...
Demand is high and they can't supply enough so they prioritize biggest markets first and screw everyone else over.

Cheapest 1070 in Europe? Germany available at 4 shops stock right now. So a neighboring country I ask a shop that offers that brand if they would offer the card, they add every card but that one, so I ask again and... not available now maybe in 6 weeks could be and may add it then. Seriously 6 weeks... I could walk to Germany on foot buy the card and be back in less than that. The suppliers/distributors of many brads are screwing smaller markets over, big time.

Anyone having problem running Timespy in Windows 10 Anniversary update? I'm running 2x 480s in Crossfire and the benchmark just won't start. It'll get to almost near the end of the demo loading screen and crash everytime. Yes I tried reinstalling 3DMark a lot of times and also the driver. Which I'm using 16.7.2 because I tried 16.8.3 and it's more problematic.

Is it true that the RX470 Nitro+ 8GB can just overclock the memory to 2050Mhz? I am looking between the 470 vs 480, both Nitro+ 8GB for 1440p. The differences at equal core clocks has to be 5%, but as most 480 reach the 2200/2250Mhz in memory and Polaris is so bandwidth starved, I'm just doubtful.

I assume that many RX 480 overclockers never checked their memory errors. I cant go over 2100MHz without errors. And thats where stable overclocking ends for me. Even single errors indicate that some component was pushed over its limit. Sure, 2150MHz or 2175MHz dont produce visible artifacts (for me), but thats not how i treat my hardware.

But take in mind with the 480 you can get 2250 of mem but with a lot of memory errors thats equal to nothing, in effective you can get 2130 / 2150 in best cases without memory errors.-
I Can get 2135 mhz without memory errors, the voltage of the memory don't improve nothing - You will not have visible artifacs with this memory because have a hash system to ask again the information corrupt - But you will have a decrese of performance.-
