Remove the GPU, ensure there isn't any dust/hair/debris that got into the PCIe slot somehow, and re-install the card.

Did you scrub old drivers before installing new ones?  Use DDU, display driver uninstaller, and run it in safe mode.  I typically run CCleaner after DDU and re-boot one more time just to be sure everything is squeaky clean.

Worst case scenario would be a Win10 system refresh I would say.  Kind of a pain but it's a whole lot easier/faster with this built-in feature, combined with modern hardware, than it ever used to be.
Yea I used DDU to clean up previous Nvidia drivers, still same red lines while booting.
Board or PCIe slots are working fine as I used gtx980ti on it to check, no red lines or flickering of black screen.
Don't have display port on my monitor so only option is HDMI, will change cable to confirm if it's cable problem or not but it's funny that Gtx works with no problems on same cable.

Looks like need to reinstall windows again.

Same issues still present for me, exactly zero change. I filed two reports with AMD, for good measure.

I will be DDU'ing again and putting 16.7.2 back in place... the last working driver.

Hey any XFX RX480 Black GTR owners know how to work around the "siltent" mode?
My card when iam o ndesktop, sometimes boosts the fans to cool down and then stops the fans again, rinse repeat. I would not mind if the fans keep running at a lower speed constantly.

I didn't think there were any changes, other than the issues for the games listed, etc.

Guess I'll wait for the next driver to test....lol

Just picked up a Sapphire RX 480 Nitro+ OC 8GB the other day biggrin.gif

Now just trying to play around to see how far I can push it without pumping too much voltage through it. Anyone have any tips on the maximum levels of voltage you would recommend for a 24/7 OC? I'm thinking somewhere around the 1.20v as the maximum I would like to run through it but if the chip can safely take more then I am happy to push it a bit further. I really want to get around 9GHz memory clock and get as close to 1.4GHz core as I can. Just moved over from Nvidia so I'm new to the AMD side of things thumb.gif

Before you start, you should test the minimal voltage you need for stock clocks. For me thats 1.025V @ 1266Mhz. From there on I need about 1mV per MHz which seems kind of universal for RX 480 (see rx480ocdata.pdf 46k .pdf file ). That puts my estimate at 1.16V for 1400MHz. I stopped at 1340Mhz with 1.1V because i only have the reference cooler. So it depends on your starting voltage. But I would not got to 1400 MHz for 24/7 even on AIB cards. Efficiency is extremely bad at these clocks/voltage.

Yeah, different HDMI signaling or driving strength is probably at fault.

~1350 with reference cooling, its going to be loud.

~1266 without throttling actually can give a 10% boost without ramping the fans to wildly high/loud speeds. Mostly just requires setting the power limit to +50.
