Why do you need each state though? I set 3 through 7 to be the same and then just find the voltage for that. I don't see a reason for 7 states. Idle / 2D / 3D load is sufficient in my book.

Is Elpida tighter?

Elpida used to be the worst of the worst until recently, don't know about this batch.

I want achive the actual performance of my card with default value but with the lowest energy possible, I have think about start with state 1 and set the same clock for others 6 states and rise down the mV put Heaven 4.0 in loop and find the stability with this first state and after repeat for others, you have set same mV from state 3 to 7?

Same mV, same freq for 3-7. Essentially i'm always in the advertised turbo clock, but much lower voltage. That gave me extra 1000 points in FireStrike and dropped load temps by 10C.

Hi Guys, I got my RX 480 Red Devil yesterday but I run into some issues. Before installing I removed old drivers with DDU.

First Quake Live is crashing frequently with error message that program is not working anymore. Mostly it happens when I tab out or use windowmode, but I just cant get it to run stable. Only other game I tried so far was Doom and I didnt have any issues there.

Other issue is that my fan sometimes goes mental up to 2800rpm for no reason even when temps are fine.

Third issue is, that I frequently get black screen on desktop for just like a millisecond, but it still is annoying.

Otherwise Im happy, especially with the performance in Doom. But if i can not fix these issues in the next 12 days I have to send the card back and get a Nvidia card mad.gif. Dont want to support Nvidia though.

I was using latest drivers (16.9.2) in case that matters. Are any of these known issues and are there ways to fix them?

Your 3 issues are probably just 1 issue, most likely Powercolor's horrible VRM not being able to keep the core well fed. We have discussed over the course of 10 pages how the Red Devil is practically a scam.

No need to get an Nvidia card. Return the Red Devil, and remember - if you buy AMD, buy Sapphire. thumb.gif

Sapphire Fury, not 470/480 NanoCooler.
