Got mine! XFX GTR, and may I say, I LOVE XFX. They look and feel so much better than what's out there.

Put this thing in my Node 304

Even folding, this baby hasn't gone over 69C. thumb.gif

Nice! Congrats on the new card! My 480 is still a dud even after flashing to the "Unlocked Bios" rolleyes.gif Hopefully yours will clock better than mine.

MSI RX470 4G just arrived today. Only spent a couple hrs OCing it, but I'm at 1450/1800 with a self modded bios (using the 1500mhz RAM timings, that's it). Was pretty nervous cause of the low ASIC, but I'm satisfied smile.gif

I really like the cooler so far. The fans are super silent!

Heres the update: there were indeed still some conflict with the reference cooling plate. Really not that much. I could fit the cooler, but not well-centred. So i removed the stock cooling plate (only vrm cooler is still mounted) and renewed the paste aswell (this time i just added a pea on the surface and didnt spread it by myself).

I set the Temp Target to 60°C and have it stable while playing doom at 1200 rpm. VRM still getting hot, around 91. Should be alright, considering that im adding the backplate soon.

Actualy i feel like 1200 rpm is a little bit too loud for me.

What profile are you guys running? Whats your target temp and how much rpm are needed to reach them?

Open that shroud dude, the purpose of opening the shroud is not just only for cooling the gpu.

because of the VRM located behind the GPU it will be "cooled" by hot air from GPU heatsink, by opening the shroud your VRM will have access to fresh cool air inside your case, put 1 or 2 fan (1000+ rpm fan capabale will do) like post 1899.

Well, only the VRM cooler is still mounted. I removed the right part of the cooling plate (around the gpu). And btw: the accelero mounting plate conflicted with the rx 480 on the marked area. It was only around 1mm, but enough to avoid the cooler sitting perfectly.

For fun i used my old intel stock cooler, just right on top of the VRM. Already on really low RPM the cooler brought down my VRMS to 71 easily.

Ill probably combine the backplate and this cooler, cant be wrong. I wish i had more room

Woahhh that's like a UFO landing on your PCB, great it works though

71c VRM is it Overclock yet?
No OC yet. Just wanted to get sure that my temps are alright without OC. Im gonna OC as soon my backplate is mounted.

Thinking about getting some RAM coolers as well, but actualy dont wanna spend more money anymore. I think i read that RAM cooling isnt that important on a GPU / RX480.

The vrms sinks is not very effective even in this web they leave it naked
