I verified that I have 8 memory chips on the card. But I wonder if they could simply be 512MB chips.
Still, I find quite odd that I have Samsung memory which is usually reserved for the 8GB models.

In the end I tried flashing a Sapphire Nitro+ 8GB BIOS, and it didn't work. No free VRAM redface.gif

Sorry! It's still an awesome bonus that you got Samsung chips, even though Hynix is also fine smile.gif

Kitguru could only overclock the 1750 MHz Hynix memory of the Sapphire Nitro+ 4GB to 1880 MHz, so I think I have been quite lucky to find Samsung memory instead.

What? Both 4GB and 8GB are eight chips, otherwise you're cutting the bus in half.

Makes sense, but in the excitement I didn't realize that right away.

Hi people somebody are using the last MSI Afterburner - The Power Limit slider can only go to 50% in the RX 480 modded bios, GPU Tweak II from asus can go to 150% -

Umm... I believe that's just a different way of labeling. Like, one is 50% additional, the other is 150% total.

No, I check it with MSI have vdrop and gpu clock drop and a limit of 150/160w with Asus GPU Tweak II no, a shame I like MSI afterburner because can have more easy OSD information, I will continue with Asus GPU Tweak II and HWinfo with Riva.-
