Calling all MSI RX 480 Gaming X owners:

Could you post a screenshot of the sensor readings from GPU-Z while gaming/benchmarking so I can judge the temps relative to fan speed, so I can gauge apporixmately how loud the card will be. Thanks. Seen this card drop to £240 in the UK and am temoted to get it. Trying to decide between this and the MSI 1060, but that's about £50 more expensive.

1060 you will be happy for about 1 ~ 2 years... If you want something for the Future then just buy RX 480... And RX 480 is showing to be more strong on New Titles.. So i guess the best buy will be RX 480 8gb.

How are the noise and thermals on the 480 compared to the 1060. I've seen the 1060 runs about 5-10 degrees cooler and a bit quieter under load.

Sorry, no, this is misinformation. The processing power on these cards is not enough to pull any title that requires 8Gb of VRAM, 6Gb is plenty for single-card systems. For dual GPU - it's still better to sell your card and buy the next tier. NVidia drivers have come a long way in optimizing for Vulkan and Dx12, so no big deal in that regard. There is no reasonable scenario in which a 480 is more future-proof than a 1060 6Gb.

That depends Entirely on the brand.

Here are my GPU-Z readings for MSI RX480 GAMING X during load (Project CARS ultra 1080p) after about 1 hour of gameplay but only ~20 minutes of GPUZ being open.
There is also HWiNFO64 loaded so you can check the min, max and average sensor readings.
Also to point that i have a HD7770 mining full load ZCash right below the RX480 so temps should be a bit lower under normal circumstances considering its drawing hot air.
Ever since i've owned this GPU i have never heard it while at load over my 5 Case fans (allways 25% speed) and my PSU Fan ( XFX PRO 550W).
Also consider that it's right now ~18ºC in my room, but in the summer i've never seen the GPU go past 73ºC(seems to be the Temp Target on the Bios so it doesnt go past that) with less then 50% Fan speed.

Asking about the MSI RX 480 8G Gaming card. Hoping some owners might post a screenshot from GPU-Z, so I can see the fan rpm relative to temps and gpu load. Already have the same data from the MSI 1060 gaming, need the 480 data to make a better comparison, before deciding.
