XFX is the coolest one maybe a bit more than the MSI GAMING X one, i recommend going 8Gib since even at 1080p there are games using at least 6GiB Vram now, have fun deciding. thumb.gif

Rise of the Tomb Raider and DOOM '16 need ~6GB for all max settings on 1080p. More games like that will come. The info you've read is about 1 year outdated.

Performance side on the same game on 1080pi, u will not notice the difference imo, the performances begin to drop when u want upgrade to a 1440pi monitor, at this point 4Gb will just not be enough to keep it up with the 1440pi textures.

What are you talking about? The mentioned games will not even let you set maximum settings if you have 4Gb card. We're not talking performance here.

EDIT: Also, what is "pi"?

Speaking about doom maybe?
Yeah on doom for sure, on the majority of the games u will not get performance loss with 4GB over 8GB, in 1080p.
If u plan to get the cheapest gpu u can and really do not bother to upgrade to higher resolution than 1920*1080, 4GB are enough on most of the games.
Maybe yeah like in doom u will run the game in full ultra, minus the super high quality texture pack.

That's how he typed it, that's how I reply. If you notice my previous post says "GB". Also, typo 3 times? Unlikely.
