Thanks for the update, I guess I'm gonna try to replace my pads and TIM and see if I see any more drops in temps. Latest driver updates have done me wonders though, I've only seen 90C once on my VRMs, core doesn't go above 75C usually.

I am using the MSI gaming app to OC the cade to gaming mode at 1303Mhz.

And even on Assassins creed 3 recently free from Uplay, the gameplay is not smooth.
Currently my CF is disabled.

Is anybody else having CF issues with RX480?

Thanks,
Jon

Jon I have 2 Reference Sapphire 480s 8gs in CF running on my I7-6700k @4.6Ghz, Asus Maximus 8 Hero, 16GB 2933mhz, using a Corsair H110i GT cpu cooler. I disabled ULPS and run the gpus at stock.

I'm running BF1 in DX11 (DX12 still has problems) and I do not have stutter. I think the ULPS might be the problem, especially with CF enabled. Google how to disable it and give it a go.

BTW, with those great MSI RX40 8Gs, why OC? Gosh, 2 of those in CF is plenty.

Yesterday decide to change the case, the old one was too much bigger, and get a good airflow was a pain in the ass - So after several years I decide to change it, use a CORSAIR Spec Alpha.-

Some white lights

The two RX 480 enter very well, the temps improve in a significant way and the VRM temps too - and the sistem it's more quiet - I have to admit when gaming outside the case feels like a furnace biggrin.gif but the hardware it's really cold.-

Nice and clean, neat. thumb.gif

Just, the poor air cooler on the cpu seems alone, you should get another IAO for the cpu and mount it on the top exhaust if you can. biggrin.gif

Thanks Wimpzilla - Have a fan in the back helping to remove the heat.-

Unless he's getting an expensive AIO that cooler is better than the h50/60/80 and there's no reason for him to get one assuming it's the one I think it is but even still any decent air cooler makes anything short of an h100 pointless

Oh I read wrong, I was thinking you say about don't have any help with the air - Well the Evo 212+ like Echoa says it's a very good CPU Cooler, I have a FX-8320 at 4.5 Ghz with 1.36v and have 62° at full load - So at the moment don't need a AIO Water for the CPU - And with the past of the time the cpu's use less TDP this thing probably have with this oc something like 135/140W TDP.-

@GecKoTDF Looks great! About the only thing I would suggest to help keep the air a tad cooler in the case would reverse your rear and CPU fans so its pulling in cold air. Then slap 2 x 120mm's up top in exhaust. That should keep you on the positive side of the air pressure and drop that furnace feeling you are getting. I suspect that you will see an improvement on the CPU & mobo sensor temps while evacuating hot air forthwith.

Thanks very much for the Idea I have a few 120mm fans - I will try to see if this help to remove more heat from inside without too much RPM of the fans.-

You might be able to run lower rpm's across the board that way since you'll have 3 in and 2 out vs 2 in and 1 out. More fans usually equal out to using less rpm's
