Unless Afterburner doesn't support RX 470 power limit adjustments at all?

It doesn't matter, if you're on the latest drivers you should be setting the power limit in wattman anyway and you're stressing for nothing. Set the power limit (unless you're calling voltage power limit) in wattman, rest in AB and be happy.

Also make sure you're on AB 4.3

If the only issue is power limit and you can set voltage and such there really isn't anything to worry about.

I see your point. I was just wondering why I can't see power limit in AB. I see the voltage slider, and I wasn't planning on messing with voltage anyway. if power limit doesn't stick in AB, then I'll be using wattman. Thanks.

If all you're doing is increasing the power limit there's no reason to use AB at all really XP

No, I will be overclocking, just on stock voltage.

Other than that, keep in mind that everyone has his own expectations. My card overclocks like a beast with the stock Nitro cooler (1400 at 1.12v) but having high asic (85%) results in high core temps (and the mediocre nitro cooler does not help either) and this results to lots of noise. With the CLC the core will be 30c lower, the noise will be worlds apart and maybe the OC can even go to 1450 (which I dont care much about, but the first 2 reasons are major).
For the low cost of 30 euros and no voided warranty I call that severely worth it.

Hello everybody. I have sapphire rx 470 nitro, I usually set the fan using afterburner to 30% when I'm not do gaming. But just now when I playing deus ex mankind divided, I forgot to change the fan setting back to auto, I played this game for almost 2 hours and the fan stays in 30%. When I realize I don't change it back to auto, I check max temp with afterburner is 89C. Is it ok for this gpu to reach that temp for 2 hours?

Why the hell would you set it manually to 30%, just make a custom fan curve that starts at 30% and you won't have issues like that.

Do you mean create fan curve in afterburner? If so, do I have to make afterburner load at start up to make the fan curve applied for the gpu?
