Do you mean create fan curve in afterburner? If so, do I have to make afterburner load at start up to make the fan curve applied for the gpu?

Yes, but you can also use Wattman to set fan min and max.

Technically, no. Practically, yes.

Even if you are hitting 4.2ghz+ it is likely that some(possibly many) games will fail to utilize more than one card effectively.

Ive seen some newer games refuse to run on Phenom era CPU's as well, missing instruction sets and whatnot.

But, it is 2 pci e 3.0 cards on a 2.0 board. Will, they still actually crossfire without the bridge?

Yep. AFAIK, the performance impact of 2.0 vs 3.0 isn't huge unless you are pushing Fury level performance on each card. Even then, the CPU will limit you way before PCIe v2.

I recently bought Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. I really bought it for the benchmark, but the game isn't too bad. I really haven't played it a lot though. It is one of the most graphical intensive games out right now. It also supports DX12.

I used Ultra/Very High/High. No MSAA. The settings are listed in the table. I ran these in 1080p and 1440p.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Benchmarks Driver 17.1.2 1080/1440p

I decided to use FRAPS to capture the benchmark results into a csv file. I dropped those in this new(to me anyway) program called FLAT(Frame Latency Analytics Tool). I believe the actual benchmark is about 98 seconds. I didn't want to get spikes at the beginning or end, so I set it to capture 95 seconds. Interesting results. These are DX11/DX12 Very High Preset.

Caution: I've never seen driver overhead like this in ANY benchmark I've ever done on ANY card. I know that AMD cards do suffer from driver overhead in DX11, but the frame times are nuts! I pretty sure it's the game, and not the card though.

Frame Times: Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

FPS: Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Variability and Stuttering: Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Comparable FPS: Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
