the correct way would be to intercept power from the pci express slot and from the 6pin and measure it. but I don't have that equipment. I used to have access to lab equipment, but that was 15 years ago.

the correct way would be to intercept the pciexpress power through an extender and capture the 6pin. and have exact measurements of both. I haven't had access to a lab where there might be that kind of equipment in 15 years.... so. No I don't have any realistic way other than measuring the total system power draw at the plug and factoring out motherboard processor vrm power output from the equation. I don't have a killawatt either. So I'll have to guess.

From what I've read it's about 20 or 30 percent on the old version of gpuz

Yes i see it in a brasilean video they do that, well its a good to know the error margin of 20/30% im still having artifacs in unigine with 1440/1450 mhz, im going to rise a bit the Voltage but, i think this its the max i will get stable for 24/7
post #394 of 4151
what's your vid for that? I needed 1.68 for futuremark stable at 1445.

edit doh., 1.268

You are in the right i put 1.2750 voltages oscilating of course 1.26 to 1.27 and get stable 1440 mhz, going try to get 1450 this in unigine im going to see in Futuremark

This is the video I tell you don't understand too much I speak spanish but... this portugues its very "urban"

I read about that when it came out but I don't understand Portuguese either. One of the main tech sites used to use similar testing methods at a separate lab from their main review lab, but I haven't seen them do that for the 480

I didn't try metro last light with older drivers but it's not working right with VSR enabled to simulate 4k performance. The gpu clocks keep jumping all over the place and the opening video sequence starts and stops. Too much hassle to test. You seeing the same thing?

edit: it's doing the same thing with vsr off. It's unplayable for me frown.gif

edit2: This is on stock after fdisk format and reinstall of windows 10 yesterday so.... I'll verify game cache in steam but it looks like a driver issue.

Mmm you mean start the benchmark and the GPU Clock start to cut? example 1440 and drops to 900 go up again in little intervals? like a stuttering?
I don't get that far. I'm too impatient. the opening video sequence halts for long periods and then jumps forward. It's painful to watch.

edit: stuttering on steroids.
I see you have that problem in metro last light? with that overclock? Im going to install it to check it

EDIT: By the way, i see that stuttering when my VRM phase of the video card get to hot, in the water cooling mod i forget to put a FAN in that part of the video card, and that thing get ******* hot, you cant put your finger, and start to get stuttering, but if you are experience that problem at the first of the video, probably its not temp

I was testing on stock. at 16.8.1 driver.

gpuz had the card clocking down to 300 in the middle of the opening video.
