Let me install last light and see if I have the same problem at the first part of the game, probably its a incompatibility with driver or something like that

Looks like it. I finally got to the main menu in last light's version of safe mode and user input halts and then continues even there. I'll try again without monitor software open and a fresh boot.

Check Fire Strike Ultra with 1440 mhz 1250 mem and 1.26/7 volts and its stable of course slow, but stable, no artifacs the TDP its more like you say a very high end game, like if you try to play an unplayeable game that stress your gpu at max, but... very stable, and the TDP es something like peaks of 200w en CPU-Z

Im gonna check the Last Light bug you have to see what happends there.-

EDIT:
Well check the Metro Last Light Redux, no problems 2560x1080 resolution all max, no Physhx from Nvidia, a solid 70 fps, with 1440 mhz 1250 mem and 1.26/7 volts max TDP by gpuz 180 w - Its clear like you say the Fire Strike its more stress but in the margin of real situations, so i recomended for stress and stability.-
And the Unigine to find artifacts.-

I have RX470Nitro+ 4GB with 92,6% ASIC and i am limited by power limit in OC..
I got downclock from 1400MHz with 1.125v to 300MHz throttling.. in GPU-Z power draw was 201.5W so i think its a limit..
1380MHz with 1.081v is fine.. in GPU-Z = 175w power draw

I need a unlocked PL bios for my Nitro+ 470RX biggrin.gif

I finally got around to checking after a reboot and it's fine now. Not sure what caused that but chalk it up to needing to reboot I guess.

Here is the mod for the RX 480 in my case i use a Maelstrom 120, very easy, just cut a bit the fins of the right, a bit the top so you can move the hoses, and in the bottom that memory part, of course the water get in contact with the lower memory and the top memory.-

And the testing place, im waiting another maelstrom to do it in the second RX 480, the side fan its only at 1000 rpm just to get cold the VRM phase of the video card in the future the two video cards.-

very nice. Your getting similar overclocks to me and I have mine of full cover water... so Great job.

Metro Last Light benchmark appears to be missing from the Steam version. An online search seems to say it was removed sometime in 2014. not sure why.

Hey all, any real world difference from the 480 to 470 other than a few more shader cores? Considering the 470 instead of 480.

Depending on your needs not much, if you can get the 470 under 200$ (around 170$) it can get you 60 @ 1080p pretty consistent. The 480 at the same price or within 20$ is a better option though.

testing Fallout 4 on 1430 1.22 setting and temps stay in the 39-40 degree range after a half hour in a closed room with fans on low. EK block isn't doing badly. I don't even have a very good TIM application.

edit: to the above poster's question. It depends on what you can get the 480 and 470 for. Witcher 3 with hairworks on and crysis 3 don't give 60FPS on stock in places but it's close with an OC on the 16.8.1 driver. So if your goal is 60 1080p ultra settings in everything go 480. 470 oced is close though. Just about every game I've tested with the 480 can do at least 60 on ultra. Most much much higher than that. 470 might ultimately be more cost effective if they keep price gouging. I purchased my reference Sapphire 480 for list price on day one launch. now they're $10 more on newegg and out of stock.
