Maybe temp limit of VRM make card downclocking to 300MHz? mad.gifmad.gif
Why Sapphire why..

LOL, looks like the RX 470 Platinum is the better card even though its only using a reference cooler. Getting 95c max on the VRM with 1.225v.

1.093 is also not enough for 1380 I'm pretty sure. Even with temps in the mid 60s I need ~1.2v to get 1400, 1.180 might be enough for 1380.

Its tested in Firestrike stability test..
I have 92% asic quality and 1400MHz runs ok with 1.125v.. but i have 115temp on VRM and card starting downclocking to 300MHz..

Its rly sucks.. have 115temp on VRM only with 1.093v and +50PL mad.gifmad.gifmad.gif

So i cant overclock.. mad.gif

And then SapphirePR replies with "the cooling is adequate and quiet we have optimized it blah blah it's a matter of price and performance blah blah most people do not OC midrange cards blah blah OC is mostly done on high end cards..."
At which point almost everyone watching their twitch wants to punch him in the speaker.

I have the saphire reference rx 480 and while the voltage did odd things when my vrms overheated, my card didn't throttle down to 300. Odd. at 1150 1375 or 1380, I can't remember, my volts did odd things in firestrike ultra stability. How do your vrms do in valley or heaven? Firestrike Ultra is more of a worst case scenario. Also, if you're going to be enabling vsync in games anyway your power usage for day to day will be much lower.
Don't use vsync but in game fps limiter. Problem is half the game devs can't be bothered anymore to add it or enable it for the users. Any other way of limiting fps always messes up the game and input latency.

I'm sure you have other problem I have a custom water without refrigeration of the vrm only a fan pointing to them, and have only 90 Celsius at 1.24 volts.

No, i don't check that - But anyway, its extrange with 1.125 have such voltage, which version of rx 470 are you using? reference?

Its RX470 Nitro+ 4GB by Sapphire.. mad.gif
post #560 of 4251
Didn't the Nitro+ have dedicated VRM cooling?
