Now that the RX 480 is finally released and we're waiting for its younger siblings to show I and others figured it was time for an owners club. Ill be updating the thread as time goes with more info and reviews

Any reviews, links, mods, etc. that i have missed please send them to me in a PM so I can make sure as much Polaris info is accessible from this thread

NA or nothing/gibberish in the validation link section of the form is not acceptable and your name will be removed each time you do it. You do it enough times I will simply remove your name even with a Valid link.

Things generally accepted are GPUz Screenshot, 3dMark score link, Pic of Box/Card with your username in the image, etc.

Also you do not need to add duplicate entries for multiple cards, if you need the card count edited PM me and I will

An ETA of custom cards would be awesome but so far it seems all the custom board makers are jokers with dates such as last July week, mid August and other very delayed release dates.
Will be more links tomorrow on my day off

In games that scale it's in line with 1080 but ones that don't it's a bit weaker than 1070. I wouldn't recommend it if you have a 1080

that be a mistake to do that.
single gpu is the better option always

i just wonder how much dx12 / vulkan will improve multi-gpu usage and what makes me interested in dual 480's. really been nice if amd had released their counter-part to the 1070 / 1080.

Depends entirely on how the developer decides to handle multi gpu. Dx12 and Vulkan put the weight on the game devs to properly implement multi gpu and until consoles have it single gpu solutions will always be superior

I'd say wait till Dx12 is more mainstream, atm it's still in its infancy and nothing to drop a 1080 over

That comes in 2017 with HBM2.

Don't go for dual GPUs as always it only works well in selected titles and there still aren't many Vulkan/DX12 titles with multi GPU support. It's up to devs with newer low level APIs. Even Nvidia is running away from SLI as fast as it can even for them it's not worth the money to maintain it I believe they are phasing it out. Dual 480s do pack a punch when the program using them can use them properly but the moment you get some old game you're down to single 480 performance.
Unless your 1080 suffers one of the 5-7 issues present in Paxwell and it affects you, you shouldn't switch to dual 480s. While I would happily convert ya, you wouldn't be happy probably having 50%? less performance from a card that costs 30% when running in single GPU in unsupported games.

Well, I finally had some time to play around with my XFX RX 480 4GB. I was able to successfully flash it using the 8gb XXX OC vbios so now it's a free upgrade, lol. I'm sure a lot of people saw that picture of the thumb pulling the sticker off of the XFX box....that was my thumb, lol.

But more to the point this thing screams a bit more than I thought it would and finally broke 14k graphics score on 3dmark Firestrike so I wanted to share the settings and such.

i5 6600k @ 4.5ghz
Z170 Stinger
16GB G.Skill Trident Z 3200Mhz ram
Corsair AX860i
XFX RX 480

with these settings it hit a max of 82*c and I had a hard time convincing my wife I hadn't taken her hair dryer

I got 2 in crossfire. What do you want to know?

With a custom fan curve maxing out at 3500rpm I can keep them at 75c pretty easily at stock volts 1330c/2100m. Scaling is really dependent on the game. Some scale great, some dont scale at all. Just the way dual gpus work. I mainly got them as upgrades for my kids once vega comes out. Then these are getting transferred into their computers. If you have some specific games in mind I can test them out and let you know once my movies are done encoding.

This is what I have installed currently.

And the games I own if you want to look for something to compare to.

I'm getting 2k lower graphics score with same clocks and driver. I wonder if that's the price to pay for having PCI-e 2.0 x4 slot for second card... It's pretty huge though, 7-8%.
Could you run the new Time Spy benchmark? I wonder if the difference is smaller when fps is lower or with DX12.
