i was replying to a comment which was talking about graphics, please learn to read. obviously games like these aren't about graphics, which makes my point even more valid that civ6 has no excuse to run poorly on nvidia or amd gpus.

But why? They're making it for Linux too. Might as well just go with Vulkan over DX12.

I wonder if this means they are going to keep nvidia from async by disabling async for nvidia.

Of course from AMD's announcement:
You can't disable something which doesn't exist. (owww) it's nvidia's job to make capable driver and hardware not amd's. and unlike blackbox gw, nvidia knows what to do here so they better hurry releasing that driver. tongue.gif

They will maybe make it DX12 only. I could see that happening

Or DX12 at launch then other API versions afterwards

Most likely Windows = DX12, Linux/OS X = OpenGL

I meant those fps are useless because nobody has 200hz monitor. and i doubt it can give you 200 fps,

Yeah there is no chance a low end GPU that's not even out yet will run this game at 200fps

frames per second don't really matter that much in Civ games either , it's the length of time between turns in the late game that matters
