Surge protector

Thread Starter
Looking for a surge protector for use for a typical pc gaming setup. Live in the UK so it slightly affects some choices, but all recommendations welcome.

Did order this belkin protector https://www.amazon.co.uk/Belkin-BSV804-Protection-Shared-Charging/dp/B00OE45MVK/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1468533725&sr=8-3&keywords=surge+protector
but the construction feels light, weak and there is something loose and rattling around in the inside, so will return it.

Do you want the best of the best? I mean, I want to recommend the best of the best, and this is it:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Tripp-Lite-8-Outlet-Protector-All-Metal/dp/B0000511U7

It's £66.03, but it's worth it.

It's a computer!

Thanks for the recommendation, a little pricy, but will consider it. The only concern is the seller is US based and all the potential hassles that might come from that.

Any other ones I might look at, seen this trip lite https://www.scan.co.uk/products/tripplite-international-isobar-surge-protector-metal-c13-4-outlet-2m-cord#, but not sure if it's similar.

Thanks again for the tip.

You're welcome.

The one you found has outlets like you see on the end of a PSU power cable...

Yeah, I guess unless the ISOBAR8ULTRA has a UK design version, that one won't work. :/

After contacting Tripplite, they said that the one you recommeded isn't CE aprroved beacuse of its US design. Would this alternative be okay https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B002RXED6A/ref=twister_B00LLFWXLM?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

That's an Uninterruptible Power Supply, and I don't know much about them other than the very basics of how they're supposed to work.
