i7 6700k 4.8ghz 1.375v h100i v2 Temperature problem? - Page 2

Im pretty sure ur not doing 4.8 on 1.375 voltage must be on auto or adaptive and pushing things way north of 1.4v with synthetics plus you need to delid to get the temps in check.

Im gonna change the thermal paste, maybe thats the problem you got no idea how old your unit is so maybe the thermal paste just got bad or something.
Yeah, I will order new fans soon when I get some money for a proper case.

I actually used Noctua NH-T1 thermal paste instead of the stock one, so that shouldn't be the problem.

Voltage is on manual in bios and svid is disabled. Run a stresstest yesterday for about 2-3 hours. Guess i won the silicon lottery then. Im not going to delid.

Yeah.. The radiator is attached to the side with some wire, exhausting air with no side panels and no intake fans.. It's pretty ghetto.

That might be the reason since your radiator fans are pushing the hot air from your GPU trough the radiators and it looks like airflow is pretty bad in that case.
I would upgrade asap!

I was going to, but then I saw this cooler was on sale and used up my monthly budget.. biggrin.gif Oh well, I'll upgrade it next month. The temps aren't that bad. About 85 under Prime95 and around 70 when compiling Android on Linux at 4.7GHz and 1.35V.

I've got an H115i and my temperatures max out at about 65 C when I'm stress testing my 6700k at 4.7 GHz with a Vcore of 1.36 V. I'd definitely reapply the thermal paste and make sure that the waterblock is mounted properly.

Im 99% sure the waterblock is mounted properly. I guess its the thermal paste then... Ill do a reseat soon. Also when installing the rad i saw that about 5 fins where slightly bent does that make a big difference?

Thanks. I tried to disable or enable SVID support but it does nothing.
Unfortunately Noctua probably won't help in your situation. (look below)

As I said on other thread my idle temps are approx. 30C and in full load 80C, while liquid in water cooling has only 35(!)C.. The pipes aren't hot. It means that the processor (heatspreader) doesn't give to radiator this heat. The core is... cooking.

I've the same on NZXT Kraken X61. Incredible loud on 100%. Sadly I can't set pump to be faster without increasing fans. Maybe I'll change them if it's possible (they've a special "case" to cooler).

I heard from many people that MX-2 is better. I'm using only MX-2 (and sometimes Zalman STG-2). I don't take a look on Liquids pro etc.

Normal playing doesn't require 100% of processor all the time (there is explosion, there is calm river etc.). On Witcher 3 I'm getting 70C (still to much as LC). Rendering probably isn't on "High preset" so you're able to use your computer while rendering without lags.

The water doesn't get that hot, as it is always circulating and being cooled by the radiator.
