I'm fine with using Edge for Netflix, I got it set to auto load netflix when I click Edge Icon, and then i just chrome for everything else. its just annoying, but I honestly don't care, I love 1080p biggrin.gif

For me it sounds like one more reason not to use edge. Besides that edge seems to be an inferior browser overall. I personally like to use programs that are dependent on one os as little as possible. And while I do not use netflix I feel like this kind of pulling ahead of a browser makes it less deserving of my use.

I currently use Internet explorer 10 to stream videos and chrome to browse. Chrome's inability to play at 1080 is not new. I tried Microsoft edge and personally do not want to have anything to do with it.

Netflix streams some shows like Daredevil in 4K if you have a 4K monitor / high connection speed but have to use IE10. I'm not sure why chrome cannot be displayed at 1080 but until it does so I have no other choice.

Honestly considering the issues with twitch on firefox, i tend to use edge anyway for watching streams.

Are you guys telling me I've been paying for their select 4k streaming service to only be getting 720p this whole time? :O

Going to go try it out on Edge and see if there is a noticeable difference. I always chalked up the bad quality to compression.

No 4K for you without HDCP 2.2

That's life son.

Sorry my topic creation brought destruction to your reality, lol. Watch Netflix in in Edge, and see if you notice a change in quality of stream, House of Cards I think is 4k... so yeah use that as your comparison show, you should notice a large difference in picture quality on your 4k monitor, assuming your internet is fast enough where it decides it can stream 4k fast enough.

"Microsoft's bold claims about Edge turn out to be true."

See that I told you Microsoft doesn't lie...tongue.gif

Really I didn't say that, but it doesn't seem like this is a very good reason to be mad at Microsoft.Or is it?

I am surprised this hasn't been discovered sooner and I wonder why.
