Oh boy was I wrong.
This post is a question/rant so bear with me.
I own a Nokia Lumia 735.
On paper it was supposed to bring some improvements, and make the OS more desktop-like. Not only do the menus look painfully "desktopy" on a phone, but the update broke plenty of features and apps which were working fine on Windows Phone 8.1
My main browser app, UC browser, can no longer open multiple tabs, the long-click-to-do-right-click no longer works either, and I can't download from youtube anymore. Moreover, there are UI and display issues with the navigation bar and apps seemingly not taking it into account. Some apps also don't allow me to hide the navigation bar anymore (these are consistent throughout most apps).
The 9gag app has the same UI issues.
Hell, the content doesnt even show up anymore.
Recently, pressing and holding a tile no longer brings up any buttons to remove it, and I can't displace it. It just stays stuck that way.
Pressing the microphone button in the cortana menu doesnt seem to do anything anymore, it's like the button does has no code behind it. Cortana doesnt seem to work with text input anymore either (Has she gone rogue like Halo 5? ).
The windows 10 install was a factory reset so I installed all the newer "windows 10 optimised" versions of my apps.
Anyhow. My point is this:
1. Dave any of you experienced these issues?
2. Do you know how to fix it?
3. And finally, is downgrading back to windows phone 8.1 worth it/possible?
I was an advocate of Windows Phone, and I liked Windows Phone 8.1, I was just hoping 10 would make it better, not the utter mess that it is now.
