FreeSync/G-SYNC for AMD/Nvidia paired on DX12

Suppose you have a build that combines a GTX 970 and R9 390. Would the adaptive frame synchronization implementation, respective to either card selected as the primary display driver, still function for DirectX 12 games that support split frame rendering? Basically, if the R9 is primary would FreeSync be supported on such a game and vice versa? Assume monitor support. Any technical explanations as to why this may or may not be the case?

It wont work as easy as you think, first games have to support Multi adapter, and also support SFR, and I think that freesync doesnt work with multiples gpus(CF)

Ashes of the Singularity supports SFR. Surely someone out there has tried this.
