What are the differences in power usage between the two cards while gaming? I have a GTX 670 and am thinking of jumping ship to AMD

FuryX will be over 300W. The GTX 670 will pull about 170W.

Power efficiency on AMD has been pretty bad on recent AMD GPUs, so if this is a concern you would want to go with something from Nvidia or a RX 480. Personally, I won't buy any of AMDs power hog GPUs since I'v already experienced how hot your house gets from a single 290.

Both cards are included here.

Peak: Metro: Last Light at 1920x1080, representing a typical gaming power draw. Highest single reading during the test.

I have a 900w PSU but how much will that card pressure my old motherboard?

It will be fine. I ran a Fury X in an ITX build with a 660W Seasonic. Where you should be concerned is what your PSU is rated at on the 12V rails for your card.

It uses about ~34A on the 12V, so you will need to be sure that your power supply can support it... somewhere around a good 500-600W PSU should be just fine.

I think this is the one I have:

http://www.enermax.com/home.php?fn=eng/product_a1_1_1&lv0=1&lv1=54&no=18

It splits up the 12v rail into 6 rails and each is rated at 30a, the 'OCP' is 34a - 45a ???

Yes, that will be more than enough.

How is that enough if each rail is 30a and the FuryX min is 34a, or am I missing something? Also I'm not even sure if 30a is the total combined with both native 6+2pin pcie plugs or 30a is pushed through each native pcie plug ???
