Does undervolting increase idle power usage?

Weird question I know, but there might be rhyme to the reason.
My 4670K has a core voltage of well under 0.8V when idling with a stock clock speed and default voltage, because I guess there's some feature with newer processors that lowers the clock speed and voltage significantly to save power.
However, setting the VCore to Manual at say, 1.25V, means that the processor now idles at 1.25V all the time.
So if I undervolt to 1.0V and the system idles at 1.0V, this means it's idling 0.3V higher than at stock voltage, would the system consume more power from the wall at idle?

Oh yeah and btw I don't own a wall power draw meter, so I can't actually use this method to check.

Yeah because it's 0.2V higher. Higher voltage is higher voltage, meaning more power is consumed. It's not going to be an amount that you will need to worry about in the least bit though.

Thanks, yeah I guess the fact that RAM modules consume 1.35V each, it makes sense.

That has nothing to do with it (I don't even see any way to make a connection). You're talking about going from an idle voltage of 0.8V to 1.0V. That's 0.2V higher, thus your power consumption while idling will go up a little bit. It won't be enough of a difference that you'll ever care about it.
