which Nvidia driver are you using currently? I am having the same issue with my new GTX 1070 on a couple of my games, but didn't with my GTX 970 but I was not using the latest Nvidia driver on my 970. I'm using driver version 368.81 currently which came out 2 day's ago.

im using the same driver. i updated it beacuse of this problem... i remeber i was having no issues with this game but i cant remeber what driver i was using :s things all started going funny when i got doom..not sure what driver caused this...if it is indeed a driver problem.

Thing is I can't go back now but only 1 driver version due to having the new 1070 gpu.
I was thinking about maybe tomorrow putting my 970 back in and try some older drivers and see maybe if thats indeed what happened.
Or it could just be my few games that do this with the newer driver as the new Doom is rock solid with FPS and new driver.

see thats wierd.. doom is not rock solid for me..its a framing mess frown.gif and again i remeber i think it was the tower level i had no issues with frame rate..then next time i went back to it after upadating a driver i think. i was getting frame drops. from that point i just updated drivers and continued to play..now im in hell and there is framerate drops all over the place.even at 1440p...dosent seem right.

I'm thinking it still has to be a driver issue as when I play American Truck Sim I will have the fps issue one day (today) but not yesterday. and everything is the same both days with temps settings etc. also when this happens my gpu usage bounces up and down from 35% to 99%, but when I don't have the fps issue my gpu usage will be a steady 99% the entire time I'm playing, even if it's the same scene in the game.
But then I sit back and think a little and feel it's my games. I'm lost really. I'm gonna wait for another driver and see what happens.

ok i tryd resorting back to nvidia driver 365.19 and in the area i was preivously getting frame drops it was still happening but insted of 40s it was in the 50s...i noticed however that after a few mins of play the problem would keep happening.. perfect example im in novigrad at the top looking out at the city. im getting solid 60fps then when i start moving and turning the cam the fps would drop in the 50s and 40s. and then after a few seconds shoot back up to 60 again. i allso relised this was without hairworks on..and i allso tryd turning down folliege distance from ultr to high and the same exact framerate happend. sli 980tis frame drops without hairworks and ultra folliage? that seems very wrong in my books...i have no idea what to do. dose anyone have any idea what is causing this or any suggestions to try? its really frustrating.
