290x uber switch not working?

Thread Starter
Picked up some 290x's for cheap but when I put the switch to the uber position they stop the bios at 2b (no video) or crash as soon as windows tries loading, then go back to 2b. Anyone else had that issue? Easy enough to just bump up the fan limit and power limit in radeon settings really though.

Motherboard is a Gigabyte EX58-UD5, starting to think it might be the issue.

I think you have the wrong sub-forum, this is posted in the AMD CPU area
(not the AMD GPU area.)

However, like you said it is easy to overclock it to the same as uber mode when your in normal mode so you should be fine.
