Unigine Heaven performance

Hey guys, I had a few questions that I was hoping some well informed Heaven veterans could potentially shed some light on.....

Does an operating system potentially have any effect on benchmark scores? Such as newer OS like Win8.1/10? I know HWbot usually uses Windows7 in order to have scores officially verified alot of the time, and after seeing alot of score variations over time before finally testing my own build got me very curious.

Also, would CPU speed, or say, any external programs have any influence on benchmark performance?

thanks

OS, CPU speed, and external programs all have an effect on benchmark scores. While your GPU can be at 100% utilization, the benchmark still needs to pull data from RAM, storage, pass it through the CPU and send it to the graphics card. Every program running will have a negative effect on your score.
Typically before running a bench I will open up task manager and kill everything thats using a lot of ram or cpu usage. Overclocking your CPU will also have a positive effect on GPU-bound benches.

thank you for your reply and insight!

How about operating systems? Perhaps Windows 10 vs Windows 7?
