SLJ8E cooling?

SLJ8E from what i can find is my motherboard's Southbridge on this laptop.
previously it had a thermal pad on it, but i'm moving it out of a laptop body and turning it into a desktop. how much effort should i put into cooling this chip if any?

so far this is what i'm doing with the i7

Did it have a heatsink originally?
Does it get hot?

If yes, put a heatsink on it.

i stated what was originally on it
in the pic, you can see it's not put together, so wouldn't know the heat it generates.
provided i knew the heat it generates i wouldn't ask the effort i should put into cooling.

but thanks for the reply, was just watching tumble weeds rolling around.
i'll figure it all out, likely just go overboard.
