From the screenshots at source, it look like DX12 is enabled.

I was just going by what Magnek stated in the OP:

So whats up with the SLI and Crossfire scaling? Like the 980s in SLI are performing the same as a single 980....

More than two and half years Hawaii still holding.

Alpha (or AMD/Nvidia drivers) probably doesn't support SLI/CF yet which makes it curious why they even ran multi-GPU in this test? Multi-GPU performance won't be important until the game is finalized and available for purchase...

GameGPU always puts there multi GPU even if there are no profiles or ever be, it's little annoying.

This is going to be easy to run in DX11. More interest at DX12 + ASync.

The screenshots show that yes, but they also said this:

The priority and the main graphical API for Battlefield 1 Alpha is a DirectX 11. With the release is expected to support DirectX 12.

which I take to mean DX12 isn't supported yet and that DX12 toggle is just a dummy right now.

vRAM usage is worse than this graph BTW. I played over 50 games and I can assure you of that. When the fog is there and much of the map has been destroyed it's about 10-20% higher than this. Plus there's a random memory leak too.

I wouldn't expect testing to be that detailed especially with the amount of GPU's tested. 8GB card is highly recommended by me at BF1 pre-ALPHA stage. I could have easily got away with 6gb at the settings I use however and they are the following.

HIGH everything except MESH at ULTRA (draw distance) no AA and 1080p using my sig rig. FPS rarely under 100 with an average around 110 in the thick of chaos. Highest vRAM hit roughly 5gb. Bare in mind I was not "MAX" settings.

Also I had two CPU's to test. Everything else in the rig was the same.

FX 8320e @ 4.5 and a 6700k at 4.5. The FX choked badly. I could barely maintain 60fps.

Here's the thing for this BF game. There's a lot more destruction and physics going on. You really see CPU usage move up as the game progresses.

Anyone remember BF3 Close Quarters DLC? Those maps were highly destructible and you could watch your GPU usage and FPS start to struggle as the game progresses. Lots of work from the CPU for this game. With many of us on Sandy Bridge at the time too.

I'm not saying the FX 8xxx is not capable of delivering a decent 60 hz game, but I can tell you as of right now, it was bottlenecking the heck out of this RX 480 in BF1.
