cooler for asus z170 pro gaming - faulty scythe mugen 2

Thread Starter
Whats the cheap and efficient cooler that fits this motherboard? Its very important for me to make it fit, because i was fooled that my old scythe mugen 2 rev b will be compatible with this board and it only damaged my brand new skylake cpu(backplate nended whole motherboard and got stuck in motherboard pins which are close to cpu bracket. I need cooler that wont contact them.

No idea what you are talking about Mugen 2 rev.B not working. You have posted your problem on a couple other forums but refuse to do what is suggested, turn the backplate a quarter turn.

From center of CPU to near side of RAM is 51mm.
From center CPU to near side of x4 PCIe is 70mm and x16 PCIe is 90mm

I was beeing sarcastic. I mean, if he thinks this is the right way to install a backplate, he should probably stick to the intel box cooler:

We can all make mistakes. I prefer to be considerate and not try to offend people. It's the way most of us here on OCN are, regardless of how much experience and knowledge we have. .. Fact is the more experience and knowledge they have the less rude they usually are.
