Whould it be worth it?

Thread Starter
I have my I5 4690k at 4.4/1.25 and in aidia64 max temp was 68 degrees. I am running a cryorig H7 heatsink with two corsair sp120 performance fans in a push pull on it. Would it be worth pushing it higher + more volts or leaving it where it is? I did notice some of the test in aidia64 that I saw the I7 6700k I was a little behind or a little above it.

1. push it till it fries
2. get new cpu
3. go to step 1

A lot of people push their CPU to max overclock, find that number, push ram to max overclock find that number, then find the highest balance between the two and drop it back 100-200mhz for a 24/7 oc (with consideration for vcore + temp).
Maybe try that.

This.

In my case I just left it because the temps are great, and the chip seems happy. If you have the cash to upgrade down the road, I'd push it up. 4.4@1.25 isn't bad either, may be able to rock it at 1.4v daily, since games won't get it as hot as 64 will.
