They're on drugs, and they're marketing this to people who are on drugs, drugs strong enough to obliterate their common sense for they to not see how much of a scam this is.

I could buy a 4K OLED with this, HDR or not it would clean the floor with this TV.

They have gone full retard for sure. I would take a $1200 1080p OLED over this backlit wannabe oled crap.biggrin.gif

The people who took enough drugs to obliterate their senses that badly have already spent all their money..

Wait 8 months and watch the magic as those TV prices go down by more than half lol.

I still like Sony TVs but i question their value now as premium brand.

guys...never cheap out on your TV if you're a videophile. If you're thinking about that bigger model...get it...because TVs shrink over time!

I wish my family's XBR6 from 2008 was a XBR8

I right'd that wrong with a 64" F8500..and a Sony phone with 4K quantum dot display...then Sharp 4K IGZO became the main criteria for my current laptop tongue.gif

I bet my Sammy plasma designed in 2013 will still beat this $7K Sony set in IQ if the last 2 flat panel shootouts were anything to go by redface.gif

my next obsession will be a 21:9 5040x2160 OLED monitor...please G-sync/Freesync that and release it next year biggrin.gif

Yeah i could get a reference vizio 65" 4k screen for $1000 less, and thats MSRP!! How has Sony not figured out that people are not going to pay that kind of money when they can go to LG, Samsung, VIzio, and hell even some of the Chinese ones with similar quality for a lot less

They must mentally still be stuck in the 80's When their name was synonymous with high quality and no one could touch them on that front. Im surprised they even bother manufacturing consumer level screens
