Would be nice to get some feedback if there are buyers of GTX 1060 here around. Most of the reviews are testing the high end models with load of heatpipes. But there are so few details about the other models.

That one heatpipe is more than enough for a proper cooler and is not the main concern. The issue is that the heatsink is a microscopic chunk of aluminum without a proper contact base and surface area.
Asus for example are surprisingly mediocre even with their heatpipes and mammoth coolers.

Let's start an official club biggrin.gif

I was going to get another RX 480 for my gaming rig but nobody had stock, so I paid $30 more for a Zotac GTX 1060 Mini.

Pics of my ghetto temporary desktop soon.

Thread Starter
If you want, you can start up a 1060 owner's club N00B ... just leave off the 'Official' designation until it's approved by Staryoshi ...

If you get a quality thread going, with a good OP, and good participation ... getting official status shouldn't be an issue.

Just make sure you're prepared to maintain the 'members' list and keep up-to-date & useful information in the OP, you know the drill ... check out the other other 'official' threads to see what the expectations are like, and if you're 'up to it' ... start one up. That's how they all started is some member with an inclination to 'make it so' and a willingness to put in some time thumb.gif

I meant let some of us GTX 1060 owners in this thread start a club. No way I'm doing that. Ain't got time to maintain it.

Has anyone tried this mod for the gtx 1060? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s2OLQntchWA

Also, does anyone know why msi afterburner gives me 1.05v max while palit thundermaster lets me go up to 1.091v ?

I did put liquid ultra on the resistors only but i could not see any gains what so ever.

Paired it up with an i5 2400. About 45fps average in NFS 2016 at 4k medium with no AA.

Hey TheLawnNoob how are the temperatures with that model ? And the noise. It's the one 'im interested in (or the same one from EVGA).

With custom fan curve, 40% at 40C, 100% at 85C, the card runs at 75C in game around 1980 to 2030Mhz at 100% load.

Runs pretty quiet. Can't hear it with in ear earbuds. Shouldn't be louder than 1600rpm 120mm fans.

If I point a 1300rpm 120mm fan at it, it runs 4C cooler.

My ambient temperature is 31C.
