Really? Deleting the w7 partition from dick management, and delete the w7 boot entry at the system configuration → boot, is not enough?

if I upgrade w7 to w10 it is garandy that my fresh w10 installation will acsept the key?

What about the boot sector on Disk 0? - ntoskernel.exe not found.

If you have a retail version of Win 7 there will be no issues.
Be aware that the free upgrade program ends on July 28th.

I upgrade the w7 to w10 and now both my w10 installations are activated. Obviously I want to keep the fresh w10 installation, and I want to get rid of the upgrade w7->w10 installation that is 6 years old with lots of crap.

Can I delete all the partitions except the partition with the OS that I want? (and then use the windows 10 bootable usb for recover?)

No. you can't just delete an OS. You have to use BCDEdit ior EasyBCD to modify the boot sector on the boot drive.
That boot sector tell the computer how to find the OS's. If you delete an OS and then the computer can't find it the computer wont start.

What I am saying is if I go with the simple method, will this still work? (delete all the partitions except the partition with the OS that I want, and then use the windows 10 bootable usb to take care for the rest)

You keep asking the same question over and over. Are you hoping to eventually get the answer you want?

no, that has a good possibility of not working.

EasyBCD modifies the boot loader. After you do that then you can delete the OS.

I took my chances and I did the simple method

From system configuration → boot I set the OS that I want as default OS.
Delete the unwanted boot entry at the system configuration → boot
Deleting the unwanted partition from dick management.

Everything went fine:D
