I propose that we call the original Titan X "Titan XO" for orignal generation.

Any takers?

Call it Titan XM.
Might tingle some tankers as well.

So Titan X is nvidia store exclusive?

What about the warranty if you plan on using another cooler on it?

If it's any consolation to you, 1080 ti (whenever that may be released) would be equally expensive. OK maybe not $1200, but certainly closer to $1000 than last year's $650 ... so it's not as if you're going to save a lot of money by waiting. Also if AMD has nothing to counteract this kind of performance you may have to wait for 2017 before 1080 ti is out...

But, yeah, those super high end cards are always like that. Never the sensible thing to buy, yet people still do... I guess telling them to wait for another year (or two in this occasion) for this kind of performance in sensible prices just doesn't cut it for them...

What else does your crystal ball tell you?

No crystal ball needed. GTX 1080 is $650 to $700 while Titan X is $1200. Predicting an $900 Ti is actually an insane proposition if it was not to be made.
As for Vega given how bad RX 4xx were in perf/W, I reaaally doubt that AMD has anything in their sleeve. We would go one year straight, maybe more with Titan/1080 Ti as top performers...
