Hi It seems noone in the world can confirm how many TFlops you get with FP16 operations.

If you want to do a world exclusive, please download SiSoft Sandra http://www.sisoftware.net/download-lite/

and test the FP16 performance.

The Tesla P100 is supposed to do 22 TFlops FP16.

So is the Titan X more like the 1080 or more like the P100?

Why noone else has done this is amazing! Its the single most important performance number for deep learning, which is how the Titan X is marketed!!!

Please do the world a favour and find out!!!

More like 1080. The Titan XP can only do 11Tflops FP16 and missing FP64. Telsa is a pure HPC. Titan XP is like a stepping stone in dedicated computation

This is probably not correct. Have you have benchmarked it.?

The GTX 1080 is 0.2TFlops (200Gflops) FP16. it is 1/64 of 11TFlops. Not 11TFlops.

You can see a page here that shows capabilities. Noone has tested Titan X yet though! Please do a world first!!

I am sure someone will run a SiSoft Sandra benchmark. But I am pretty sure it will have a similar result as the 1080. They have to "dumb" down the consumer version to market their HPC products

I would run one, but I am not at home to do it. I am sure if someone here wants to will do so

Isn't the shunt only the first part of that image though? I've definitely seen posters with the 1080 reporting success with only the first step, Der8auer on youtube actually has a tutorial demonstrating it on the 1080.

Im not 100% sure.

Buried in the comment section of that video Der8auer says he will do a TXP tutorial video though when he gets one.

Or maybe this one? http://eu.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=400-HY-H980-B1

Without any modding?

I saw some guys being able to fit them. But I'm not sure which one of those they used. Also I'd prefer not to mod my card (so that I may not completely destroy its resale values, Volta is near tongue.gif ).
From what I understand, both will work without having to modify the card and simply they are both the same except the 980 Ti or 980 branding on the shroud, as is the one for the Maxwell Titan X if you can find that), but without the plastic shroud that comes with it due to different shape/mounting holes on those. The plastic shroud is mostly cosmetic (although you could argue that it directs the airflow - although some will say it obstructs it, I guess it depends on your case's airflow - but I guess if you really want to keep a shroud, you could possibly just screw off the Titan X's original shroud's glass part and stick the tubes through that.
You could probably also use the AIO for the 10 Series, not sure if that shroud will work on the Titan X either, though.
