Not sure about his. But there is no VXAO in DX12. I ran all maxed, except no SSAA. Just SMAA. 2560x1440. SSAA 4x is ridiculous and would kill the GPUs before the CPU could even hope of becoming a bottleneck.

Also as a side note...VXAO in tomb raider (under DX11, of course) actually increases FPS in some scenes.

That's quite an increase at 1440p. I have same CPU but 980Ti as GPU. It's getting harder no to order one.

The 6950X is my premier pro baby.
Yeah, I think they trade blows depending on the game/test being used. A delidded 6700K @ 4.8/4.8 or higher is hard to beat in low core count apps... as it should be. thumb.gif

I'm debating just skipping FC blocks and run with uniblocks like i did on the KPEs.
I have a delta fan on each card. to cool the top side. I'm not sure the stock cooler does much for the VRMs etc. Y=The great thing about the KPEs etc, is the cold plate and stock back plate - perfect for uniblocks!
No need to stick silly little copper heat sinks on the exposed ICs, but really strong air flow is needed either way. EK blocks ship next week. thumb.gif

Are you running at PCIe 2.0 by any chance? 3970X needs a patch to run to enable PCIe 3.0. I don't know if it still works with Pascal (I have a 3970X too over here, but I don't have a Pascal yet...neither is the chip installed currently smile.gif)

http://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3135/~/geforce-gen3-support-on-x79-platform
I wasn't for those runs, but 2.0 will reduce the CPU overhead... good for low core counts.

What software is used for this kind of measurement (or even better, that one where they also have graphs with frametimes at the bottom)?
Real cores will come to fruition but not yet I guess.
You're not cooling VRAM, VRM etc.? How that works for you temp wise? smile.gif

----

Darn, those results make me switch from 1080 SLI to TXP...

the IR gun temps were measured as shown. The 2 R22s I pointed out will hit very high temps (70C+) but that is still below the spec T_max for that part. Regardless, the performance/stability declines with higher temps.

Damn these things run HOT.

Top card peaked at 84C after 1hr GTAV (at 4k). No overclock. They boost to over 1800 but stabilize at 1785. This is with a custom fan curve that hits 100% at 85C.

Is this normal? Also noticed that my gpu usage doesn't seem quite as stable as my previous 980s which pretty much held 98% the majority of the time (in GTAV). My Titans jump around from 70 - 99.. Guessing this is driver related?

Very happy with my new Titan.

It is a shame about the reference cooler though!

I've ordered a new wc loop and EK gpu block to fix that - as the cooler really does need to be pushed up high to maintain clock speeds under load frown.gif

Hopefully once voltage tweaking is unlocked and under water I can really push it !

it's not so much voltage with pascal.. it's the power and thermal limit throttling.

Also got my TX-P but there's no surprise, the card is limited by thermal throttling.

I wish Watercool make the new Titan waterblock available soon as it has the better looking in my opinion but it's not announced yet.

Aquacomputer block in black version is only planned for release in 30 days, too bad since their active cooling backplate is a really good point.

So my money will go to EK, despite the fact I'm a bit bored with their waterblock design.

I believe someone here in this thread told it's possible to fit the original backplate to EK waterblock, at least for gtx 1080.
Do you think it's possible for TX-P as well ?

Thanks wink.gif
