Anyone have any good results using the CLU mod yet? also, as jpmboy has said, I nixed the heatsink idea and am just using my EK Uni block by itself. I have 2 of these on the top of the card,.. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002CYPWTG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 , with fans blowing up from the bottom of my case, along with all of the multiple other fans in my case, giving it enough airflow to make heat a non-issue. this will suffice til I put a FC block on it. very happy with the results... smile.gif

I wonder if the 1080 would have less availability issues if for whatever reason it was just available from nvidia themselves for a while.

EDIT: Not that I would like to see that happening with a card like the 1080 of course. Having access to custom cooler solutions immediately is far more important..

You have a valid point here. It might be the reason, since yields for GP102 are obviously very bad (obvious from 3584 cores ON and up to 3840 being shut off).

Now, this all concerns me since this would mean 1080Ti won't happen. Titan XP is what I'd make a 1080Ti to be. Anything less doesn't make sense performance-wise.

they "can" make anything happen. cut a few more cores between 1080 to Titan XP and gimp the ram. Question is, will it be profitable for them to do it?

CSM was already enabled.

How can installing a new GPU cause issues like this? I was using the computer a few hours before this with zero issues at all. I have 3 SSD's only, with one obvious having Windows on it. I just don't get how removing 2 Titan X Maxwell's, inserting the new Titan XP and I still cannot get in to Windows. I am at a complete loss. All 3 SSD's are being seen by the BIOS. I am not what else to do. Can the Titan P be the cause of this, can inserting a new GPU kill the SSD and the boot sector not allowing windows to load at all? Thanks in advance for any help.

I have inserted new GPU's into rigs for years without ever having an issue. I really thought last night after re-routing my loop and leak testing that I could just turn it on, download the Titan XP drivers and be bragging or crying about my overclocks. smile.gif Right now, I just want to get into Windows.

I'm secretly hoping that this generation will be a repeat of the 700 series. The original Titan also was partially disabled like the TXP, then the 780 Ti was the same full fat kepler chip but fully enabled. (But with less VRAM)
