Man so hard to resist getting second one always had SLi since ever, first time now only one, i'm running 1440/165 and honestly OC TXP its enough for anything i trow at it at this resolution,
all games that high FPS matters like multiplayer games: BF4, SWBF, COD BO3, Overwatch, Doom etc.. they all locked at 165fps with single TXP, the rest is walk in the park.

For a week now im trying to find and justify a reason to get 2nd one but i just cant find any "zero reasons" until 4k/120 that is, but until then we will get Titan Volta.
Moved from 2x Titan XM to 2x 1080SLi to single TXP and by far this is the smoothest and best experience in everything.

This card is a monster, but again my HB bridge is lonely biggrin.gif

Has anyone been able to extract the BIOS from the card? I've tried using the latest NVflash (Joe Dirt Edition) and GPU-Z, but no luck so far. Please post it up if you have it!

So I just had a thought regarding power limits.

TDP of Titan XP is 250W.

120% of 250W is 300W.

6+8pin power = 75W + 150W, +75W base from the PCIE slot = 300W.

Does this pose an issue if we attempt a shunt mod to raise the power limit or am I missing something? Where would the card draw the extra wattage from?

I have two titan xp in HB SLI and I play BF4 on my 1440p 144Hz Gsync monitor. I was noticing 70-95% usage and achieving 120-144 FPS. I have all settings set to ultra except the last 3 options, which I believe are AA, post processing, and ambient occlusion? Those 3 are turned off. I have scaling set to 200% so I believe this is scaling at 5k?

How are you achieving 165 FPS with only a single card? What are your settings and justification for those settings? Just curious.

Interesting, will have to try today. Somethings have to be updated, GPU_Z still have few things as Unknown and Grayed out , 3DMark just started to recognize Titan X Pascal and also OCulus keeps telling me my system does not meet the requirements rolleyes.gif

I'm sort of guessing here (well, hoping...) that nvidia is releasing the Titan XP so early exactly to facilitate a timeslot to release the 1080Ti in before it's too close to the 1100 series release. smile.gif

How can installing a new GPU cause issues like this? I was using the computer a few hours before this with zero issues at all. I have 3 SSD's only, with one obvious having Windows on it. I just don't get how removing 2 Titan X Maxwell's, inserting the new Titan XP and I still cannot get in to Windows. I am at a complete loss. All 3 SSD's are being seen by the BIOS. I am not what else to do. Can the Titan P be the cause of this, can inserting a new GPU kill the SSD and the boot sector not allowing windows to load at all? Thanks in advance for any help.

I have inserted new GPU's into rigs for years without ever having an issue. I really thought last night after re-routing my loop and leak testing that I could just turn it on, download the Titan XP drivers and be bragging or crying about my overclocks. smile.gif Right now, I just want to get into Windows.

And it won't load even if you do a boot override of your Windows hard drive instead of using Windows boot manager?

I doubt there is any space for a Ti... when? What kind of perf and price?

How are you achieving 165 FPS with only a single card? What are your settings and justification for those settings? Just curious.

my settings are maxed out at 1440p including 4xAA and usage is 90-95% and its pegged at 165FPS, this is on 5960x 4.3ghz

Scaling 200% that's not 1440p then, just use 4xAA and 100% scaling and you will be pegged at 165 on single card, cant really tell any difference with 4xaa against 200% scaling except massive FPS hit.

Well if people using this overkill settings then i guess 2x TXP can be justified, but that's basically running at 4-5k and expecting to run 165fps, that is pipe dream even with 2x TXP

Im talking about pure 1440p Res with no DSR or Super-sampling
