The problem with that is from benchmarks etc this would essentially be an expensive side grade at best right?

Your'll basically have at least power of 2 of your cards, and quite possibly more (especially under water) in one card.

I think it's an amazing card!

Can only get better under water and when voltage control is available.

I don't think a Titan X does match two of my cards OC vs OC. My graphic score is around 41200. So far what I have seen I'm not sure it does match two cards. However real world I might only lose a couple FPS. Problem is if I make the upgrade I will only be able to afford a single card. If they drop a 1080 I can buy two question is will they release one...

Does it happen at stock clocks too?

Real-world you'll probably gain, due to no loss from SLI scaling issues. With a single Titan XP I can run Dying Light maxed out at 1440p, locked to 165fps.

True with games like doom etc I'm sure I will gain due to crappy scaling. Games like witcher where scaling is pretty good it should be about the same. I'll prob wait until non reference pcb boards are launched and go full water cooled custom board then wait until voltage mods are released.

It's my understanding you'll only ever see Titan X Pascal direct from Nvidia.

You mean no custom pcb boards? I know gigabyte and the others are selling the reference but I didn't know there wouldn't be any custom boards

Only Nvidia will be making the Titan XP, there will be no custom boards or coolers. It will only be sold directly from Nvidia. Only thing you can do is slap a wb on it.

There has never been a non-Nvidia made Titan. Previous generations, other companies would just brand them but they'd be selling the same thing. Even when EVGA swapped out the reference blower and put a hybrid unit on it, it was still on the standard reference PCB.

It's even worse this time: they don't allow 3rd party sale either.
