I had Aqua blocks for TXM . Never went above 40x with 23c ambient . I'm waiting for Heatkiller blocks.

Also don't forget to order some grizzly kryonaut from them since these blocks sit directly on the memory. And I recommend ordering some f
Good fujipoly thermal pads for the VRMs since they're sensitive enough as is and any extra cooling will help.

How are EK pads? Also, 0.5mm is enough?

Fujipoly 0.5mm are the best. But I understand EK pads are from Fujipoly anyway.

Will resell the ek block here in overclock or ebay.

Like the aqua better then ek.

I've got the EK block and backplate on order. Don't know why but I'm tempted by the AQ block. I think it's because I like the look of the active backplate.

Thing is they are out out of stock and not ready to ship for 21 days though.

I could just keep carrying on with air I suppose, it's not like the fun and games start until voltage control becomes available.

I've still got time to cancel my EK order. . .

EDIT:

Just ordered the black nickel block with the active backplate. biggrin.gif

Nice to have a change from EK which is what I normally buy. The fact I would of had to wait for the backplate always grated on me. At least with the AC both products have the same lead time.

Difference is the EK pads are low end, and rated for 3-5W/mK while the high end Fujipoly ones are rated for 17W/mK.

So I did the shunt mod last night could not wait for wb.. my card is vertical so I did a light coat clu on two of three 5mo.. ran firestrike ultra same 205/585 and score went up 130 points.
So not as good as some but I did not want take chance. in pic you might see 1ro I put small cut piece electrical tape on solder so if any run off should be good..
I cleaned 5mo put tape painters tape around 5m0 put light coat then hair dryer couple cycles then good to go ..
I still get power and vreg on gpu-z was thinking when wb comes in put one more small layer should give a little more power.
Just wanted to share that in case someone was thinking about doing it took 30 minutes with the right tools.

yeah - only thing PX is good for is K-boost (but not working for txp right now). lowering the temps on these cards helps a lot, nearly as much as a shunt. combine the two and ...wooo!

Fuji SARCON is now the brand.

EK has not published an install instruction sheet yet AFAIK, so you do not know which pad thicknesses to get.
