Can we get an official Titan XP Owners Club already please?
Anyone got two GTX 980ti they could use to benchmark, along with the new Titan X, want to compare performance, thanks smile.gif
post #214 of 7589
Haven't ever dabbled with a water setup short of simple AIO so yeah, I'm a horrible schmoe leaving mine on air. But then again I just want 4K60 ultra. No need for higher hz than that for me at the moment so my needs aren't quite as "extreme" as some of you guys, haha.

But after seeing more benchmarks come out on Tom's, HWC, etc., this seems to blow the original Titan X out of the water. I think I'll be very happy.

Will do an unboxing and my own benchmark videos and such once I have time to spend with it after this weekend due to a lot of work coming up.

Heaven doesn't seem to care about overclocking, lol.

A whole +1 FPS average with a +200 core. 2013MHz, no throttling, max temp was 82C at 90% fan.

IMO, there's nothing wrong with sticking to air cooling. I've water cooled a number of systems in the past, and personally done with it... too much maintenance for me. Now I prefer the highest performance parts in the smallest SFF cases. Can't wait for the Dan A4-SFX cases to start shipping at the end of the year biggrin.gif

How loud was the fan at 90%?

this is a techpower up (or whom ever it was) myth. 1st, the PCIE power is speced at 75W.. not limited to 75W and a top HEDT MB will have no problem (there was a time when we could "soften" the ATX power connector tho). Now the MB OCP will kick in.. at >>75W. Second, if this is due to a vBIOS setting, it is correctable and is an error/bad practice in the bios, but still very unlikely that at the limit the card will pull preferentially from the lowest cap power source. Yeah I know one reviewer "measured" this. Frankly, I don't believe the result.

Water cooling is a hassle but i could never stand the noise of the fans, especially in 2 slot SLI where the first GPU is hotter than the second due to lack of air because I don't have a 40 lane CPU.
