"hold" is the key. The cards get hot. don't expect it to stay at that under load unless you are under water or rocking 100% fans smile.gif

Pure Gallium may not, but CLP and CLU do. Most likely due to the other materials mixed with the gallium in the liquid metal TIM. Did your heatsink not show any sign of the CLP fusing to the heatsink? I know for a fact CL Ultra does, and I thought the one time I used CL Pro it did as well, but perhaps the Pro is pure enough that it doesnt fuse.

@HyperMatrix when you run far cry 4 do you go into task manager and disable the "pegged" core and re-enable it by going to task
Manager --> set affinity? For me far cry runs a single core at 90-95% until I do that. You may see better frames after.

There is upto about 30% gain using HB bridge in the game and the fps are very constant.

30% compared to a single flex? I've tried dual flex and it's the same as HB one - sans incompatibility with EKWB blocks. tongue.gif

Yeah I suspected as much. The HB bridges were not initially available for the 1080 because it was the titans they were really meant for. thumb.gif

So has a general consensus been reached on the resistor mod? Thin layer on 2 or thin layer on all 3? Gonna give it a go this weekend.

Just cut the tips off. Don't even have to go past where the screws are to get it to fit. It's literally like .25 inches that needs to be removed tops.

If you are uncomfortable cutting it, just use a decent metal file and sand the corners off.
