Can you measure the resistance?

You need a thicker coating probably, make sure it goes completely from end to end.

So i THINK i figured out what the whold weird low fps issue was. Maybe.

In Witcher 3 i was getting especially low framerate. With two TITAN X's at 2,000mhz i was only getting ~90fps at 3440x1440p with only 2x Hairwworks AA, only regular SSAO, and shadows turned down to high etc.. and at the closest i could get to 4K (4587 x 1920, which is 8.8 million pixels, very close to the 8.3 mil of 4K. Can't do exact 3840x2160 since i'm using an X34 ultra-wide.) my fps was down to high 50's to low 60's at most!

Tried EVERYTHING. I updated drivers, i changed every setting imaginable, i did DDU clean installs etc.. and even did a whole new install of Windows 10. And just HAPPENED today, after still having NO solution; i just happened to turn off Anti-aliasing in Witcher 3 and all of a sudden my fps in the starting Kaer Morhen area at 3440x1440 jumped from ~90fps to 130fps!!! Seriously...why the HELL is the generic W3 AA giving me a FORTY FPS DROP!!!

I'm now able to get ~95-100fps with 8x hairworks AA, HBAO+, shadows and everything else on Ultra etc.. at 3440x1440, and at 4587x1920 (4K equivalent) i'm getting ~80fps average.

The weirdest thing of all is that i noticed turning on AA caused a MASSIVE drop in GPU usage in this game! My GPU usage went from ~90-95% on card 1 and ~80-85% on card 2; down to ~80% on card 1 and ~65-70% on card 2 just by enabling AA. Turning off AA would cause my GPU usage to raise back to 90 and 80 again, respectively.

Anyone have a clue about this? My GPU usage still isn't "quite" what i should be getting (There's videos of people with TITTAN XP in SLI getting 98-99% usage on both cards all the time in this game) but it's interesting to know th at i found SOME kind of cause.

On a side note, i think i also may have figured out why G-Sync is causing low fps for some people using SLI. I noticed that when i would enable G-Sync that the game would force Alternate Frame Rendering mode 1 in NV Control Panel; and it REFUSED to change back to default SLI setting. I would change to default and hit Apply and it'd instantly pop back to Alternate Frame Rendering 1. And with AF1 my GPU usage in Witcher 3 without the AA went down from ~90% on card 1 and ~80% on card 2 to more like ~82% on card 1 and ~72% on card 2. Which may explain the low fps, especialy if usage is lower for other people.

Hmm, definitely strange. I've been using Titan-XP SLI with G-Sync and it's been working buttery smooth with maxed GPU usage.

Within a few hours of subscribing to nowinstock I was able to order a TitanXP, if anyone else is having trouble definitely try it!

If you don't own a Titan X plan on owning a Titan why bother posting about it? Do you think k people who've purchased the Titan X are going to say you're right I'm going to return my card and by a jaton?

But isn't it exactly this reason why we have an owner only thread . Not planning or thinking about it but REAL owners only?

I say this in a polite manner but we don't really need a play by play chronicle of how you obtain the card. This is old news .

He's an owner (or soon will be). He's sharing his excitement on his first day of becoming an OCN member. Come on man.

My EK fullcover arrived yesterday. Did the shunt mod while being at it.
This card is so damn good!
So far running at 2050mhz but trying 2100 tonight.
It does not run into the power target so far. Max temperature while gaming for hours: 42 degrees Celsius. thumb.gif

Agreed, the micro stutter's should be shamed before a new fellow Titan Xp member. Very harsh. Seesh
