And it's a single card and a t what clock is 5960X? I have a problem with my 5960X - it easily runs 4,45GHz at 1.26V, which is not a lot, but H115i can't cool it and it, under load, goes to 80ish deg.-- which is awful.
I'm planing to move to EK loop but still thinking if 360 would be enough for that and dual Titans...

I think the last time i had less than 3 cards in my system was sometime in 2011!!

now for project two.. capturing high quality game play at 4K 60fps. i have 3 NVMe drives (system, game, and capture drive) - dxtory using MagicYUV.. then x264 it for 10 hours.. (then have youtube murder the quality smile.gif )
The main problem @ 60 fps is the HD can't write fast enough for lossless RGB 4:4:4:4

i just picked up the OCZ 400 1TB (my other drivers are intel 750 1.2TB and the 950 pro). expect some random witcher 3 video!! smile.gif

Just wait for OBS to support HEVC for hardware encoded 444 60fps 4K. Right now it's broken with h264 nvenc where it looks brilliant on the top half of the screen, but has a green tint/overlay on the bottom half.

The new encoder in pascal is one of the reasons I upgraded.

What I have is massive overkill honestly, but I'm a temp/quiet freak.

I have an external Monsta 480, GPU, CPU, then 3 240mm Darkside slims. I ran 2 Titan XM's and a 5960x and never had any issues with the 3 internal rads. I really need to get a new case cut and re-do my loop.

As for a 360, i think you'll be pushing the limits of the cooling especially if you are doing big OC. This chip can do 4.8 @1.4 or 4.5 at 1.25 and stays in the 60s with this setup

Clearly the 1080 sli will be much faster... it is also clear the answer. Get two titan xp! (and water cool... IMO anyone dropping for a xp is losing to much perf (thermal throttle) not to water cool. It isn't like money is holding you back.

I know but I plan to sell my gtx 1080 sli for titan xp. 50 % of my games i play don't support sli and i think letting my second gtx 1080 sitting idle 50% of the time is a waste.

Which games don't support SLI that you are playing (that would need it) - most games with fancy grafix over the last few years support SLI. You should be able to get about $600 for your 1080s. That is what i sold my billion 1080s for.
