Woo-hoo! cheers.gif

I got the same one. Presently I have a 780 Ti trying to drive it Poor wee thing, it's trying it's best. It's great for desktop real estate. But at the moment I have to play games in Windowed mode or scaled. It's why I'm putting together a new rig and why I'm now down to last and most important piece of the puzzle (GPU), which looks increasingly like it's going to have to be a TXP.

4K at 120hz in my honest, wholehearted opinion is a fools dream. Yes, you do need two of these cards to hit the performance at those pixels, but do you need that many pixels? Unless you're looking at a density on such as a 40" panel like the VA Phillips (soon to be discontinued), it's an utterly pointless show of hardware muscle. Even then, the only time I really was impressed was with Witcher 3 at that scale, some of the scenic views when standing still were amazing. Sadly, I don't tend to stand still for too long in games.

I'm not sure why the spur of HB bridges has suddenly gotten people raving about SLI, either. I've been using it for over 15 years, and the industry has been trying to move away from it for at least 6 of those. That's not to say I would not recommend having two of these cards at that resolution, because that would be lying. What I would do is chuckle a wee bit and ask why you are at that resolution at all.

Try a 4K LG 55" curved OLED as a monitor pushed pack a little on your desk. The resolution/quality is just staggering. Yes, 4K is really good. Ten years ago people thought why would you need anything more than 1080p? Today 1080p makes my eyes want to bleed.

Hell, there are already 8K panels in the pipeline which is four times the resolution of 4K. Now the big deal with 4K @ 120 Hz will be OLED. OLED pixels are so fast than the boost to 120 Hz from 60 Hz would just be epic. If "flexing hardware muscle" comes along with the most amazing and immersive gaming experience, I guess I'll flex away...

Don't knock it until you try it, it's like IMAX!

DOOM on it is the best looking game I've ever seen, pictures of it doesn't do it justice.

If Dell ever releases the 30" 4K @ 120 Hz OLED with a DP 1.3/1.4 connection, even at $5K it's an instant buy for me.
